Benefits of Paintless Dent Removal

Paintless Dent Repair (PDR) has proven to be the fastest, most efficient and cost effective method of removing minor dents, door dings and hail damage from your car.

The most important benefit is quality. This method is the closest you can get to never having the dent. No bondo, fillers or primers are used. Your original factory paint remains intact. The dent once repaired will never return. Cost is also a major benefit of PDR. A typical estimate for a minor dent from a body shop usually ranges between $350 - $600 or higher. That same dent can usually be repaired for under $120 width PDR. Time savings is a big advantage. That same repair can be fixed in an hour or less. A body shop might take a week or longer.

What is Paintless Dent Repair?

Paintless Dent Repair (PDR) is the process of removing dents and dings using special techniques and tools without disturbing the original paint surface.

PDR is an alternate way to fix small dents without repainting your car. With PDR you do not run the risk of having the traditional problems you might get by repainting. Some of the most common problems include the new paint not matching the old paint. The new paint can fade, peel or even crack in just a few years if not properly prepared or if cheap products are used. Paint over spray is a very common problem which we see while detailing cars on almost a daily basis. All of this not to mention, just a poor paint job, showing grinder marks, specs, runs and orange peel in the paint. A vehicle with original paint retains a higher value than a repainted vehicle. Even if it is just a door or a fender, it is always preferable to maintain the original paint on a vehicle for as long as possible.

How is it done?

Dent Pro technicians use specialized tools to push the metal back into its original shape from behind the dent. Depending on the location of the damage, the panel is accessed by removing trim pieces, through window openings or by removing inner panels. In a typical dent removal, the metal around the outside edge of the dent is slowly massaged back into its original position. The dent becomes progressively smaller as the technician works from the outside edge; eventually the dent becomes so small it blends with the texture of the paint and disappears completely.

Lease return comming up?

Please be sure you know how your lease contract reads before returning your vehicle.

Oftentimes a lease contract will say something along the lines of "you are required to repair any damage that is larger than the size of a credit card”. This damage is commonly referred to as "excessive wear and tear".

Before you turn in your vehicle, use a Dent pro expert to avoid paying retail prices for "excessive wear and tear".
